Exciting, Serbian, vocalist Anavi is currently in the studio with the internationally renowned producer, 
Jere McAllister (a/k/a Mr. A.L.I.). Their first single together, MUSTAPHA, features guitarist Tristan Grigsby, who has worked with The Dixie Dregs, Living Color, Pantera and many more, as well as legendary drummer Gregg Potter. Sung is the original combination of Farsi and nonsense syllables, MUSTAPHA has truly captured the imagination of dance DJs the world over.
The original song was recorded by QUEEN for their album JAZZ. Basically, the parts of the song that are actually in a language are a prayer for peace. Anavi is a native Serbian (she speaks 7 languages) and, if you have opened a paper lately, you know that her part of the world is torn by strife between Muslims and Christians. So, MUSTAPHA is her personal prayer for peace in her land sung in the language of her, supposed, enemies.

Talk about a wide assortment of mixes! Everything from mid-tempo world beat to VERY uptempo high energy (around 142 BPM+), we should see at least a Top 25 chart on this one. In a word, interesting!!!

After her highly acclaimed performance at the kick off festival for the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago, Anavi has become a darling of the gay community around Chicago. Look for her to be making many club appearances there in the early fall.
